Kevin Webley

Born and raised in N.Y.C. and having attended university in N.C., Kevin settled in Sarasota FL and is a proud member of the Sarasota Fire Department. Although he loves serving his community as a firefighter, it is a lifelong passion of Kevin’s to work with kids. He has fed that passion through prior career moves and dedication to volunteerism.
Seeing children who are abandoned, abused, neglected, or with nowhere to go; reinforces his need to get involved. By partnering with The Community Within, Mr. Webley has been able to empower both children and parents to break the many vicious cycles which degrade a child’s potential while building new family dynamics. By reinforcing the need for healthy tenets such as quality education, self-reliance, and altruism - many of the dim futures foreseeable for community youth can be brightened and filled with hope.

Recognizing that we need to actively participate in the community to invoke the changes we want to see, I chose my current profession as a firefighter, but also decided to get involved with The Community Within, Inc. As a 32-year-old newlywed, I want to start my family in a community to which I have contributed my time, talent, and treasure. I recently moved from Boston, and although I am a new transplant, Sarasota is now my home and I want to be active in the development of the children and the community; my affiliation with The Community Within provides an effective tool to make that happen.
